Four more faces in the ‘Fish Face Series’ …

Here are more … and all those fish and the turtle are for sale, each one on its own or as a swarm of fish. Separately they are inserted into grey box frames (26 x 26 cm), those ‘boxes’ can be arranged individually or the panels can be inserted in a back lit light box for just one fish or more…

Fish Faces

Fish in the sea, they do not have much to do with human beings, we know what they look like, they come in various colours and shapes, but essentially they look like fish. Funny thing, looking at photographs of fish faces I could see human emotions and characteristics in them. That inspired me to transfer those faces onto glass designs, with glass being a liquid chemically, and the variety of colours in glass – a perfect match.
Have a look at the first six faces, there will be many more to come, keep an eye out for them, work is in progress….

The designs are in separate box frames, 26 x 26 cm each

The paints are the same as the ones used in church windows, professional glass paints,
fired in a kiln, lasting more than a lifetime.

… and very detailed work is possible now with the glass painting.
